Facebook has just introduced the new Messenger Day, which pretty much changes their popular chat app into Snapchat. Now these new features, such as writing, drawing and adding emojis to photos, are available also on WhatsApp, which is, of course, a part of the Facebook family.
It seems that Facebook wants to provide all their users with Snapchat alike options, hoping that they will stop using Snapchat – the app that started the whole “thing.” WhatsApp, which is mainly used for calls (100 million calls daily actually), might not be the best choice for those features but who knows…maybe this strategy will really impair Snapchat in the long run.
For now, the reactions regarding both Messenger and WhatsApp are rather negative…why would they want 3 Snapchats on their phones, if one is perfectly enough?
These new features are already available on Android, but users of iOS still have to wait a bit longer. The most impatient ones are advised just to keep using Snapchat.
